North Omaha community supports grocery store facing liquor license review

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Members of a North Omaha community showed up at Tuesday’s city council meeting to show their support for a neighborhood grocery store they say should not be held responsible for all the violence in the area.

The City Council wants to make T-A Grocery Store near 42nd and Bedford reapply for its liquor license and investigate if the license should be issued in the future.

History of violence

There has been a history of violence on the corner of 42nd and Bedford. A lot of it going down around the grocery store on the corner. The name of the store has changed over the years. Now it’s T-A Grocery Store that’s dealing with the issue.
