Little Italy store continues bringing community together nearly 100 years later

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – An old community staple in Little Italy is still playing host to smiles and fellowship nearly 100 years after it first opened.

Ninety-two-year-old Josephine Lohmeier’s parents opened Caniglia’s Dry Goods Store in 1929. The former storefront now serves as a recreation space for Little Italy’s families.
