Model of Eppley Airfield Central Pavilion

The Omaha Airport Authority is displaying a cross-section model of Eppley Airfield’s future central pavilion inside the airport’s rental car facility. The central pavilion will be the center of the expanded terminal, housing the centralized TSA security checkpoint as well as restaurants and retailers. When it opens, the new terminal will have 19 restaurants and retailers.

Eppley’s $950 million construction project has now passed the two-year mark, and the progress is significant. The central pavilion is framed and largely enclosed. Crews will soon begin installing the central pavilion’s glass façade, which will be entrance #3. New escalators have been installed in the central pavilion. The expanded terminal will have double the number of escalators, improving passenger flow throughout the building.
