(Glenwood) — Multiple Mills County departments responded to a house fire in the northern portion of the county early Friday morning.
The Glenwood Fire Department says crews were dispatched shortly after 4:45 a.m. as automatic mutual aid with the Oak Township and Lewis Township fire departments and Silver City Fire and Rescue for a reported structure fire on Ashton Road.
Officials say Glenwood crews arrived first on scene and reported heavy smoke from the basement of the structure and fire in the overhead of three rooms, believed to have started from a lightning strike causing an electrical fire.
