Man who allegedly struck woman with vehicle at Omaha car meetup appears in court

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – One of two men arrested in connection to a car meetup in February, where a woman was hit by a vehicle doing burnouts, appeared in court Monday morning.

Brian Kounnavong, 19, waived his right to a preliminary hearing. He faces one charge of failure to stop and render aid – a conviction that could send him to prison for four years.

His bond was set at $20,000. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said the incident is the sixth time he has had run-ins with law enforcement…
