BENNINGTON, Neb. (WOWT) – Residents and police are raising safety concerns about children riding e-bikes and e-scooters in traffic near Bennington Elementary School.
Jodi Sass, who lives behind the school, said she regularly sees children riding e-scooters in the street — some without helmets — each afternoon. She said the road is already difficult to navigate with parked cars on both sides.
“You’re in the way of the cars they’re trying to get through. This road has cars parked, so it makes it hard for two cars to pass. And then you put those in there and it’s a nightmare,” Sass said.
