OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Several homeowners in a newer Gretna neighborhood received a surprise from city code enforcement. They must move a section of their six-foot-high privacy fence. One homeowner claims the city should pay for it.
Fence too close to the street
The city of Gretna ordered Michael Dabney to move back a 180-foot section of fence along the street.
“I don’t see any obstruction for people coming around either way of not being able to see the car from the other side,” Dabney said.
Gretna code requires six-foot-high street-side privacy fences to stand 10 feet behind the property line. Dabney’s fence is five feet from the line…
