OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Omaha Police say a pursuit Thursday morning stemmed from an investigation into a dead body found the night before.
OPD Sgt. Devin Washington said in a press briefing at 11th and Martha streets, where the pursuit ended, that investigators were looking into a missing person case on Wednesday that led them to discover the body in a home near 36th and Cass streets.
At about 8:30 a.m. Thursday, police spotted a vehicle on 13th Street and Interstate 80 that was of interest to investigators. OPD attempted a traffic stop, Washington said, but the vehicle sped away, leading to a pursuit.
