High wind caused power outages and fires in Nebraska and Iowa

Strong winds up to 50 mph caused some issues in Nebraska. Several fires broke out over southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa, and the wind is caused power issues in Douglas County.

POWER OUTAGES: As of 6:15 pm, OPPD reports 190 customers are without power in its coverage area. 40 of those are in Douglas County.
