OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Infrastructure work continues at the old Civic Auditorium site despite a lawsuit between the developer and the city of Omaha.
Site developer White Lotus is suing the city, claiming the city delayed progress on the project. The city claims White Lotus did not meet deadlines.
Road work underway near 17th and Davenport
Workers are laying down a road near 17th and Davenport streets. Civic Corner LLC, owned by developer White Lotus, is laying the groundwork for its development project called The Nest.
The project is planned as a multiuse district similar to the Aksarben area — with shops, restaurants and hotels. There is even talk of a grocery store in the plans.
