OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The Papio-Missouri River Natural Resources District is set to open some of its river access parks around the metro.
The access sites that are open as of Wednesday are:
- Elkhorn Crossing, near the intersection of 252nd & Bennington Road
- West Maple Road, northeast of Waterloo
- Platte River Landing, near Highway 64
- Graske Crossing, by the southeast corner of West Dodge Road & West of 204th
In a release, the Papio NRD said they may close the sites at various points throughout the season, depending on the water levels.
“Closures for Elkhorn River parks are called for when the Elkhorn River gauge at Waterloo reads a stage of four feet or greater. Platte River Landing will close when the gauge at Leshara reads seven feet or above,” the release states…
