COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (WOWT) – A piece of American history is set to be displayed at the Union Pacific Railroad Museum.
A release from the museum sent on Thursday says the Louisiana Purchase Proclamation will be featured at their latest “The Nation Before the Railroad” exhibit.
“We are incredibly proud that the Union Pacific Museum was selected to display this document for the 250th anniversary of the United States,” said Patricia LaBounty, curator of the Union Pacific Museum., “This opportunity has allowed our newest exhibit that focuses on the nation before the railroad to take shape and provide the foundation for many more historic documents to be contextualized.”…
