PLATTSMOUTH, Neb. (WOWT) – The man facing charges related to an Amber Alert out of Wisconsin waived extradition and agreed to voluntarily return to the state.
Joseph Nicpon, 44, a sex offender on supervised release since March 31, was arrested by Cass County deputies after an Amber Alert was issued for an 8-year-old girl at about 5 a.m. Saturday. Authorities said she was found safe at about 1:30 p.m. that afternoon.
Nicpon appeared in Cass County court Tuesday morning via video conferencing. He waived his right to counsel as well.
He will remain in the custody of the Cass County Sheriff until he can be turned over to the Wisconsin State Patrol. WSP has two weeks to come get him or the judge will set bail…
