OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – We’ve made Friday a First Alert 6 Weather Day due to the threat of widespread thunderstorms and the severe potential within them. Some heavy rain is possible too, especially southeast.
We’ll watch an organized line start to develop near or after 5pm and slowly work it’s way southeast. At this point all modes of severe weather are in play as the storms evolve. The most likely areas look to be near the metro and to the east and south as of Monday.
A blustery day is also likely Friday with SSW wind gusts to 30-40 mph possible. This system is also likely to bring a stark contrast in temps heading into the weekend. Highs will be slashed by 30 degrees between Friday and Saturday.
