OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – A man arrested in connection with the murder of his adoptive father, a deacon at an Omaha church, is headed to district court for trial.
Martin Zak, 36, was booked into Douglas County Corrections last month and charged with first-degree murder. At Zak’s preliminary hearing Friday, the case was bound over to district court.
One charge was dropped Friday for insufficient evidence: theft by unlawful taking $5,000 or more. The charge was related to allegations he took his father’s car, which was later involved in a pursuit.
