Stop Sign Slip-Up Lands Orlando Man Wanted For Volusia Violent Crimes In Polk County Jail

POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A brief traffic infraction in Poinciana led to the arrest of an Orlando man facing multiple felony charges from the coast.

Joshua Lopez-Morales, 20, was driving a white 2002 GMC truck through the intersection of Muskrat Drive and Coyote Road around 8:30 p.m. on Monday, June 22, 2026. A Polk County Sheriff’s Office deputy observed the truck fail to stop at the intersection’s stop sign and initiated a traffic stop.

During the stop, the deputy identified the driver as Lopez-Morales. A standard background check revealed that the Orlando resident had an active, outstanding warrant for his arrest out of Volusia County…
