Bite marks used to identify alligator that fatally attacked woman swimming in Florida river

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. (Gray News) — Bite marks were used to identify the 12-foot alligator that fatally attacked a 31-year-old woman who was swimming in a Florida river, according to the medical examiner.

The bite marks on Brittany Clark matched one of two alligators the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission killed after the attack June 28, WESH reported.

“A row of teeth on the gator head is consistent with teeth marks on the left arm,” the Orange County medical examiner’s preliminary report said…
