Spirit Christmas, the seasonal holiday retail concept from the creators of Spirit Halloween, is expanding in a big way in 2026 and Florida is finally getting in on the fun. Four Spirit Christmas locations are set to open across the Sunshine State this October, including one right here in the Orlando area that is just 14 miles from Walt Disney World.
What Is Spirit Christmas?
Think of Spirit Christmas as the holiday season version of Spirit Halloween. The stores pop up seasonally in vacant retail spaces and fill them wall to wall with holiday decorations, inflatables, ornaments, themed merchandise, clothing, and more. The concept launched with just 8 locations in 2024, grew to 30 stores in 2025, and is now expanding into 15 states for 2026 including its first foothold in Florida.
The stores are broken into themed sections. “Inflatable Land” is exactly what it sounds like, a paradise for anyone who loves giant yard decorations. There is also a “Creepmas” section that blends the spookier side of the holidays with festive cheer perfect for anyone whose love of Halloween does not fully subside on November 1st. You will also find white elephant gift ideas, stocking stuffers, and merchandise tied to beloved holiday properties like Elf, Rudolph, and even SpongeBob SquarePants.
The 2026 Centerpiece: Candy Cane Express
New for 2026, Spirit Christmas stores will feature the Candy Cane Express, a nearly life-size train that guests can actually steer. It sounds like a whole experience in itself and a great reason to make the trip even if you are not planning to shop.
