Lake County sheriff’s detectives are renewing their call for public assistance as they investigate the 2017 death of 23-year-old Essence Owens, whose body was discovered behind a vacant home nearly two weeks after she vanished.
Owens was last seen on August 6, 2017, in Orlando, where she lived and worked. After relatives lost contact with her, family members filed a missing persons report with law enforcement.
