More than 380,000 Orange and Seminole county voters had cast their votes heading into Tuesday’s election as two Republican debated the merits of Amendment 3 in downtown Orlando.
State Rep. Berny Jacques, a member of the Florida Legislature that voted to put Amendment 3 on the ballot, urged Tiger Bay Club of Central Florida luncheon attendees to vote in favor of it.
The reason why he said is because young people can’t to afford to buy a home until they’re 40 and fixed-income senior citizens at risk of losing their homes because they can’t afford property tax bills…
