British Grandmother Assaulted On JetBlue Plane By ‘Unusually Loud’ Flight Attendant Over a Tea Cup

The flight diverted to Orlando, Florida, where Siddell was forced to leave the plane

A British grandmother who had just finished her tea on a JetBlue flight was allegedly attacked by an “unusually loud” flight attendant who thought she had improperly disposed of her cup, according to a report.

Angela Siddell, 74, of the Channel Islands, was having a cup of tea on a flight that was heading from New York to Costa Rica on October 31 last year, the Daily Beast reported , citing the lawsuit.

Siddell, who was flying out to celebrate her retirement, had reportedly thrown her tea cup, which was still full, in the galley instead of a trash bin, according to a flight crew member.

The flight passenger said in the lawsuit that she was searching for the bin and had placed the cup on the counter in the galley when she couldn’t find one, according to the New York Post .

A female flight attendant then approached the 74-year-old and addressed her in “an unusually loud and verbally aggressive manner” for placing the cup in the galley, according to the lawsuit.
