My father moved here in 1918. I was born in Orlando in 1945. I am a Florida cracker. As a child I remember our snow bird neighbors from Pennsylvania, Ohio and other northern states. The Florida lifestyle is like no place that I have ever seen. I lived outside of Florida and moved back 25 years ago after retiring from the U.S. Navy. If you hate The Villages so much, please return to the miserable place you came from. If you cannot afford the taxes move to New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts,Vermont or anywhere that you can live happily. By the way all of these states are beautiful and would love to have your money. So in conclusion, “BYE, BYE.” Look forward to seeing you next winter.
