Popular Florida Breakfast Chain With “Working Class” Prices, Grumpy’s, Is Headed To Orlando

Florida has no shortage of eateries specializing in breakfast that started in the Sunshine State and obtained so much success that they expanded or were sold. Examples are Keke’s Cafe which was purchased by Denny’s for $82.5 million and Another Broken Egg. Another recent (and popular) example is Grumpy’s, and it is expanding to Orlando.

About Grumpy’s: This is a southern-style diner that was founded in 1999 with an emphasis on a “hungry person’s portion at a working-class price.” Classic southern favorites (and some new daring items) are homemade, and the eatery has earned accolades – being called Jacksonville’s best restaurant for four years and called a place where “happiness awaits” by Jacksonville.com.

Neptune Beach patrons and visitors are complimentary to Grumpy’s on TripAdvisor, with many complimenting the cute decor and comfort foods. A reviewer with the handle dibbs5 wrote, in part:

“After being disappointed in the hotel’s “breakfast” we ventured out for some real food…I mean who wouldn’t like blueberry cheesecake waffles with a slice of cheesecake on top? Truth be told we liked it so much we went back the next day! Sydney was our server giving us yet another fantastic breakfast dining experience! If you’re looking for Great service and great food do yourself a favor and go there, you won’t be disappointed! Oh, and don’t forget to try the fresh squeezed orange juice, it’s so good!”
