Publix Buys Out A FL Shopping Center Landlord For $16.5 Mil. Specialist Calls Grocer “All Cash”

Floridians may know that lately, Publix has been aggressively buying the shopping centers in which it is an anchor – ultimately eliminating its landlord. I’ve written about the grocer buying out The Ramblewood Square Shopping Center in Coral Springs for $59 million as well as Davie Shopping Center and Regency Square at Broward for $83 million. And now, it has reportedly purchased Kissimmee’s Town Center at Orange Lake for $16.65 million.

About The Town Center At Orange Lake: Publix is the obvious anchor for this shopping center located at 14896 E. Orange Lake Boulevard, but additional tenants are T Mobile, Millenia Day Spa, Pak Mail, and Orange Lake Cleaners. An Applebees and Hooters are nearby.

Patrons give the shopping center 4.5 out of 5 stars and have reviewed it over 1,300 times. Many appreciated the convenience of having multiple choices in one place. A reviewer named Macy wrote:

“Fairly typical modern Florida retail shopping plaza. Lots of good stores and restaurants. Easy access, (and) plenty of parking.”
