Orlando Man Claims $1M Lottery Prize

The Florida Lottery today announced that Efren Villamar Herrera, 56, of Orlando, has claimed a $1 million prize from the $20 Gold Rush Limited Scratch-Off game. Villamar Herrera opted to receive his prize as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $795,000.00, according to the official press release.

The winning ticket was purchased at Wawa, located at 3100 South Orange Avenue in Orlando. As a result of the sale, the retailer will receive a bonus commission of $2,000.

This particular scratch-off game offers players the chance to win one of 32 top prizes of $5 million, along with 100 prizes of $1 million. The game also features more than 33,000 additional prizes ranging from $1,000 to $100,000, with overall odds of winning at 1-in-2.65.
