UCF students speak out against regulation enforcing restroom facility limitations one year after its approval

For Evan Ortiz, senior interdisciplinary studies major, using gendered bathrooms on campus puts him at risk of violating UCF conduct. According to the State University System of Florida, Sept. 20 marks one year since the Florida Board of Governors approved a regulation requiring state universities to establish disciplinary procedures for students who enter a restroom designated for the opposite sex and refuse to leave when asked.
