ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – An Orlando man was arrested on Friday night after he fled a traffic stop and left the scene of a crash, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Troopers say they spotted a Ford Focus sedan driving recklessly on I-275 just after 8:30 p.m. Troopers chased the driver, later identified as 31-year-old Jason Christopher Smalls, after they attempted to conduct a traffic stop, according to officials.
