FL’s 1st Store Of Retailer Called “Cult Favorite” Asian Grocer With Food Court Listed As Coming Soon

Over the course of 2024, specialty grocers have expanded into the Sunshine State to offer even more variety beyond traditional stores like Publix and Aldi. I’ve written about Florida getting RD International Market, Presidente Supermarket, Euroland, and Lotte Market, to name just a few examples. In 2021, we learned that specialty grocer H Mart would open a Florida location in Orlando. But since then, there hasn’t been much definitive news. But now, there is confirmation that an opening that is “coming soon” is expected.

About H Mart: The company’s website indicates that it is the largest Asian supermarket chain in the nation. Although it obviously prides itself and prioritizes its Asian offerings, it also offers traditional Western foods that you’d expect from a traditional grocer like produce, seafood, meats, and proteins.

Those who love sampling food while grocery shopping may like H Mart’s massive food court with offerings like Chinese bao, Korean fried chicken, and Japanese ramen.

In fact, these food courts are so popular that The Kitchn has actually reviewed many of the items. KTVU has called H Mart “a cult favorite Asian grocery chain.”
