Italian Food Staple Will Close Doors After 15 Years

The record of dining establishments against the current conditions is getting worse. We continue to hear that covid has started a downward spiral for so many businesses, this year many franchises and small businesses in the food industry have shuttered the doors for good. Unfortunately another one has been added to what has been a really bad 2024 for the dining crowd, even the ones who like to order to go have been hit.

Over in Orlando, Florida there are still plenty of options to eat, that said not all of them are ran by locals or families which is what makes this announcement more difficult. Nearly 15 years ago in the College Park section of Orlando, Denny Tornatore opened up Tornatore’s Ristorante and Italian Market, and has reinvented the hot spot a few times since opening.

At one point Tornatore’s actually recieved a makeover on Food Network’s Restaurant Impossible when Chef Robert Irvine ambushed Denny. Irvine was able to stress the importance of making everything served at Tornatore’s from scratch. Not just some things, but everything and together they created the only neighborhood restaurant in College Park with a complete “made from scratch” menu at the time. Tornatore’s pizza, all of their soups, antipastos, salads, entrees, pasta, fresh bread, subs and desserts are made fresh every day from scratch. They even make their own Mozzarella cheese
