The Orlando Police Department’s Drug Enforcement Division (DED) has had a busy week, making significant strides in removing illegal drugs and firearms from the community.
As of December 6, 2024, DED has seized over 4,000 grams of cocaine, 450 grams of crack cocaine, 5,700 grams of fentanyl, and 27,000 grams of cannabis. Additionally, they have made over 800 felony arrests and 51 misdemeanor arrests.
Here are some of the notable arrests made by DED last week:
- December 6th:
- A search warrant executed on a residence on the 1000 block of West Livingston Street, based on an undercover operation, resulted in the seizure of 28 grams of cannabis, 5.6 grams of MDMA, 4.92 grams of MDMA pills, 1,389 grams of THC Cannabis Wax, a stolen Taurus G2C 9mm firearm, a THC Cannabis pen, a bulletproof vest, and various rounds of ammunition.
- December 6th:
- Gang Unit Detectives apprehended Jeanmarco Cintron Valle, a fugitive with an active felony warrant and an associate of the “Born to Die” street gang, during a traffic stop. The search of his vehicle yielded a rifle with an ammunition casing catcher, two handguns with magazines, approximately 13 grams of cannabis, and one Percocet pill.
- December 5th:
- Drug Enforcement Detectives arrested Antonio Redding on an outstanding felony warrant and additional charges related to the possession of MDMA, cocaine, and fentanyl. The investigation, assisted by a DED K-9 unit, resulted in the seizure of $3,060.
- December 4th:
- The Overdose Investigative Unit (OIU) conducted a traffic stop, leading to the discovery of 12 grams of cocaine, six grams of MDMA, and a firearm. Charles Frazier and Bryan Garcia, the driver and passenger respectively, were arrested. Garcia also had an outstanding felony warrant.
- December 4th:
- Another OIU traffic stop resulted in the arrest of Ronney White and Shawn Williams, who were found to be in possession of 71 grams of cannabis.
