From writing articles about adoptable animals, I’ve learned that many Floridians like Chihuahuas. That’s understandable when you consider that they are loyal, animated, cute, smart, and long-lived. Floridians who enjoy this breed may be interested in a Chihuahua mix in Florida who is looking for a home.
Meet Tulip: This little beauty has a unique, pretty name – just like her. She is young and tiny – only ten weeks old and weighing in at three pounds. Her father’s lineage is unknown. But her mother weighs about 15 pounds. Still, her foster organization, Florida Little Dog Rescue, believes she will stay small, but they cannot promise.
Tulip was rescued from a shelter because her mother was brought in as a stray and no one came to claim them. As a result, they are living in a foster family. Tulip has adjusted well, but having a family of her own would be ideal.
Keep in mind that Tulip is a puppy. So she will need an owner who is willing to teach her proper behavior from walking on a leash to crate and house training.
