Red Lobster to close 23 restaurants within days — here’s where they are
Red Lobster in August court documents revealed the closure of 23 restaurants nationwide as part of its Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings filed on May 19. The move was part of a strategy to reject leases at underperforming locations.

The closures were a key part of Red Lobster’s restructuring efforts as it prepared for a sale to Fortress Investment Group, to whom it owed approximately $365 million. Fortress, known for its restaurant industry investments, had previously backed acquisitions of CraftWorks Restaurants & Breweries Inc. and SPB Hospitality, best known for Logan’s Roadhouse, Old Chicago Pizza, J. Alexander’s and Krystal.
