One topic that is important to Floridians across age ranges is healthcare and the availability of quality hospitals. No one wants to think about needing the services of a hospital, but when you need one, you want a very high-quality one. According to the Florida Hospital Association, Florida hospitals are facing a “critical workforce shortage,” with a shortage of around 59,000 nurses by 2035. Some Floridians will be happy to know that Florida is gaining a new hospital, and even more than that, there will be a new ER “town center” in another city as well.
The New Orlando Health Hospital In Lake Mary And A HealthCare Center And ER With A “Town Center” In Longwood: Way back in 2022, it was announced that Orlando Health intended to reimagine its Seminole County campus as a new healthcare center in downtown Longwood, along with a new ER.
Additionally, it was planned for the Longwood ER to be ready to open around the same time that Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital would close and a new Orlando Health Lake Mary Hospital would open.
