Universal’s Hogwarts Express will be closing in just a few days!
Riding the Hogwarts Express train between each of the Universal lands belonging to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter may feel like a dream for anyone who’s stepped on board to experience it. However, Universal’s been up to their latest round of refurbishments, and this popular attraction’s number is up. You’ve got just days to ride the Hogwarts Express before it closes.
From the moment you step foot inside one of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter lands, you’re immediately immersed in all the sights, smells, and charm brought to life from the books and films. The Hogwarts Express train is no exception, either! This popular ride doubles as a transport between Universal Studios and the neighboring Islands of Adventure park.
However, even its popularity and demand for rides doesn’t make it immune to routine check ups and maintenance that all of Universal’s rides, attractions, and experiences undergo. If you’re looking to catch a ride aboard this fantastical train soon, you’ve got mere days to make it happen for a while!
The Hogwarts Express train is scheduled to close on January 28th for a brief refurbishment period lasting through the 31st. If you’re scratching your head in deja vu yes, this is actually a second closure for the train this month. The previous closure was also rather brief — lasting from January 14th through the 19th.
When these closures are scheduled, they’re likely for routine maintenance, and we’re confident this is just another round of that. It’s also a good sign that the refurbishment is expected to last for a short time and that makes us glad we won’t have to be without the Hogwarts Express to transfer between the parks (and spot some of our favorite characters from the film) for too long…
