Seminole firefighters bestow award to man’s son-in-law who used CPR to help save his life

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – A ceremony will be held Friday at a Seminole County fire station to honor Mason Brown, who helped save his father-in-law’s life several months ago, according to the fire department.

Around 4:15 p.m. on Sept. 14 in Sanford, 61-year-old Randy Youngblood suffered severe cardiac arrest, firefighters said, noting Youngblood’s mother had died a day earlier from cardiac arrest.

Youngblood’s family was already gathered when the medical event happened, and while his daughter Cayla quickly dialed 911, his son-in-law, Brown, performed CPR until the Seminole County Fire Department arrived, a news release states…
