Kissimmee substitute charged with offenses against high school student

KISSIMMEE, Florida — A 23-year-old Kissimmee man has been arrested for allegedly committing sexual offenses against a student at Haines City High School, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. Chase Crabb is accused of sending sexually explicit messages and images to a 16-year-old female student.

The victim reported to her mother in January 2025 that she had received inappropriate communications from her former substitute teacher, “Mr. Chase,” between December 2023 and December 2024. The communications began when the victim was 15 and included emails, text messages, and interactions on Instagram, TikTok, and Discord. Crabb allegedly became sexually suggestive after learning of the victim’s breakup with her boyfriend, sending multiple inappropriate messages and images, and soliciting nude photographs from her.

The incident was reported to the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF), prompting a joint investigation with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office on January 15, 2025. Some of the text messages sent by Crabb included statements such as, “Uhhhhh, I mean is it wrong for me to be sexually attracted to a minor? WHO SAID THAT” and “Nah cause they won’t be interesting [adult females] It’s more fun to groom heh.”…
