Police: Orlando man fires gun in downtown DeLand weekend road rage incident

An Orlando man arrested in a road rage shooting in downtown DeLand early Saturday is out of the Volusia County Branch Jail on $60,000 bail, records showed on Monday.

Daniel Duarte, 22, was charged with discharging a firearm in public, discharging a firearm from a vehicle, discharging a missile into a vehicle/dwelling/aircraft, and two counts of aggravated assault with intent to commit a felony.

When he appeared at the jail’s courthouse on Sunday, Duarte was ordered by the court to have no contact with the two men he apparently was involved with in the road rage shooting…
