Wrong-way driver Thomas Petry calls sentence ‘a lynching’ as he tries to withdraw plea

An upset Thomas Petry, the wrong-way driver who was sentenced to nearly four decades in prison for his part in a crash that killed TikTok star Ali Spice and two other young people, called his sentencing a “lynching” Friday. Petry made the comments during a hearing at the Volusia County Courthouse in DeLand as he sought to withdraw his guilty plea and go to trial instead.
