Florida’s culinary landscape is about to get a boost from one of the nation’s most popular chicken franchises. Raising Cane’s, known for its focus on quality chicken and streamlined menu, is set to open two new locations in the Orlando area—each replacing an existing restaurant.
What’s Happening?
The expansion involves two strategic sites:
- Waterford Lakes: The current TGI Friday’s at 625 N. Alafaya Trail, occupying 6,695 square feet, is slated for demolition. In its place, a new Raising Cane’s will rise, covering 2,981 square feet. This location will feature both a drive-thru and outdoor patio seating.
- The Florida Mall Area: Another transformation is underway at 8003 Golden Sky Lane, where a Red Lobster is currently situated. This site, located on the north side of The Florida Mall, will also see a new Raising Cane’s restaurant.
These plans were submitted by engineer Kristina Belt from Kimley-Horn and Associates Inc., on behalf of the property owners. The Waterford Lakes property is owned by Magicday LLC (based in New Jersey), while the Florida Mall site is under Vinsue Corp. (with a New York address).
