Central Florida Storm Warning: High Winds and Tornado Risk Through Early Monday

Orlando, FL – Strong storms, high winds, and dangerous rip currents are creating hazardous conditions across East Central Florida through Sunday night. Officials urge residents and visitors to stay alert as severe weather moves through the region.

According to the National Weather Service in Melbourne, a wind advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, with gusts reaching 35 mph. Stronger winds up to 55 mph are possible later in the day as severe storms develop. The I-4 Corridor northward faces the highest storm risk, with hail, heavy rain, and isolated tornadoes expected between 4 p.m. and 4 a.m. Monday.
