Florida deputy jumps 6-foot fence to save dog from burning home

ORLANDO, Fla. (WFLA) — What easily could have ended in tragedy turned into a heartwarming story after an Orange County Sheriff’s deputy made the quick decision to rush toward a burning home earlier this week.

The sheriff’s office said Deputy Romero sprang into action once he realized an English bulldog was trapped inside the home.

At the time, thick smoke could be seen pouring from the windows, with flames extending into the air.

Without hesitation, Romero jumped a 6-foot fence and rushed to the back of the home, where he kicked out a door panel to rescue the trapped dog, officials said…
