Orlando Police Release Body Camera Footage of Fatal Officer-Involved Shooting

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Orlando Police Department has released body camera footage from a fatal officer-involved shooting that took place earlier this month at a downtown studio workspace.

The incident occurred around 2:42 a.m. on March 1 at 221 East Colonial Drive. Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person who was reportedly banging on a victim’s door and possibly armed with a gun.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting individual, who was located a few doors down from the scene. As they continued down the hallway of the commercial building — described as a studio workspace not intended for residential living — officers encountered an open door…
