A commercial warehouse fire has prompted a temporary road closure along Michigan Ave in Kissimmee on a calm Saturday afternoon. According to a report by WFTV, the Kissimmee Fire Department, aided by neighboring fire rescue teams, responded to the incident that began around 3:20 p.m.
The situation escalated as firefighters encountered “heavy fire and smoke coming from the west side of the warehouse.” A second alarm was quickly called to battle the blaze, which prompted part of the roof to collapse. Despite the risks, the fire crews were able to eventually bring the fire under control and fully extinguish it, as detailed in a social media post from the City of Kissimmee Fire Department.
