A suspect was recently arrested for a deadly Orlando shooting near Curry Ford Rd. and Semoran Blvd. after fleeing to Puerto Rico.
On March 15th at approximately 2:48am, Orlando Police officers responded to the 5700 block of Curry Ford Road after receiving a 911 call reporting multiple gunshots coming from a nearby parked van. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim, Luis G. Vicente-Martinez, inside the vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
OPD detectives determined through investigative efforts that the incident was a robbery and the suspect who murdered Vicente-Martinez had fled to Puerto Rico.
