Two Leesburg men were arrested when the execution of a search warrant revealed illegal gambling machines and narcotics in their possession.
Leesburg Police Department officers and the Lake County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant regarding illegal gambling at a residence, located 401 E. North Blvd., at 9 p.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. Several subjects were found inside to include the owner, 31-year-old Chen Chen, and 27-year-old Dimitri Alexander Sutton.
At the time of the execution, a detective and an officer were undercover inside the business to give live intel of the number of people inside and the number of active games being played. The detective began playing at one of the “fish tables” by inserting a $20 bill. After several minutes, he hit the cash out button and went up to the cashier window where Chen gave his $82 in winnings, the report said.
The detective was being live monitored and told another officer that it was clear for law enforcement to make entry. Once they did, all subjects in the building were secured, and the business was cleared for any additional occupants, the report said…
