CENTRAL FLORIDA — Seminole and Brevard counties have lifted their bans on open burning and the use of fireworks because of recent rainfall.
The Keetch-Byram Drought Index (KBDI), which measures soil dryness on a scale of 1 to 800, in Brevard, dropped under 450 on May 12. It dipped below that level in Seminole County on May 8.
