A heartwarming act of honesty in Lake County, Florida, has restored faith in humanity for one lucky resident. A local citizen inadvertently left $2,000 at an ATM in Clermont after a transaction was interrupted, mistakenly believing it had been canceled. Unaware that the cash had dispensed, they drove away.
The person in the vehicle behind them witnessed the incident and attempted to flag down the individual but was unable to catch them in time. Instead of pocketing the money, the Good Samaritan followed the bank’s advice and promptly delivered the full $2,000 to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office
Thanks to this quick thinking and integrity, the sheriff’s office was able to return the money to its rightful owner.
“This act of kindness and honesty is a shining example of the community spirit that makes Lake County special,” said Lake County Sheriff’s Office in a social media post. “We’re grateful for citizens who do the right thing without hesitation.”…
