An unlicensed driver from Guatemala was arrested for driving without a license when a trooper stopped him for not wearing a seatbelt.
A trooper observed a grey Nissan Altima traveling east onto the south on-ramp to State Road 453 around 4:20 p.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Florida Highway Patrol. The passenger side window was down, and he saw 35-year-old Noe Perez Godinez of Orlando was not wearing a seatbelt.
Based on this violation, the trooper stopped the vehicle and asked him for his driver’s license. Perez Godinez handed over a Guatemalan passport and advised that he never had a valid license, the report said.
A check of his driving history showed he did not have a license or ID card. However, he had been convicted once for driving without a license, the report said…
