As of July 1st, toll prices on CFX operated roadways have increased in price between $0.02 and $0.05. This is due to the Central Florida Expressway Authority doing an assessment that found they need to keep up with rising costs. This resulted in toll adjustment.
125 miles of roads within Central Florida are operated by the Central Florida Expressway Authority. The roads include the SR-408 (East-West Expressway), SR-414 (Apopka Expressway), SR-417 (Central Florida Greenway), SR-429 (Western Beltway), SR-451, SR-453, SR-538 (Poinciana Parkway), and parts of SR-528 (the Beachline Expressway). This leads to an average of more than one million toll transactions being recorded daily on CFX expressways.
It was reported that the increase in toll prices is intended to go towards their five-year work plan. The money will come from the toll increase becuase the CFX does not receive state or local tax dollars…
