New information released in Marcos Lopez racketeering case court documents

TAVARES, Fla. — New discovery documentation filed by the prosecution in the racketeering case against suspended Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez lists evidence involving numerous businesses and locations that had not been previously connected to the case.

The Eclipse Social Club in Kissimmee was originally listed by investigators as one of the spots where they claimed illegal gambling was taking place as part of a ring Lopez is accused of being involved in.

Two of the locations mentioned in court filings this week are Hot Seats Arcade in Leesburg and Dreamer’s Arcade in Clermont. While court documents do not specifically connect the businesses to any illegal activity in the Lopez case, both have been included in previous illegal gambling investigations in Lake County…
